ADHD Therapy & Neurodivergent Burnout Support in California

You’ve tried harder. You’ve blamed yourself. You’ve outsmarted the chaos more times than anyone knows. But you’re tired—and you deserve a different kind of help.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel Like Something You can Fail at

If you live with ADHD or are neurodivergent, chances are you've spent years adapting to a world that doesn’t meet you where you are. You've learned to mask, to hustle through the fog, to hold yourself to neurotypical standards that don’t reflect your reality.

You might be:

  • Cycling between hyperfocus and total shutdown

  • Struggling with executive dysfunction, missed deadlines, and decision paralysis

  • Constantly fighting your own brain to “just get it together”

  • Emotionally overloaded—then ashamed for being “too sensitive” or “too much”

  • Stuck in burnout and wondering how much longer you can keep pushing

This is not a motivation issue. It’s not a discipline problem. It’s nervous system exhaustion. And you don’t have to navigate it alone.

What If Therapy Actually Worked For Your Brain?

As a therapist with ADHD, I have my experience with many similar challenges. I offer neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed therapy for adults across California—especially creatives, late-diagnosed ADHDers, and those who feel like they’ve always been the “weird kid,” the “sensitive one,” or the “high achiever who’s quietly falling apart.”

This is therapy that:

  • Honors your natural rhythm, attention span, and energy cycles

  • Gives you tools that actually work for ADHD—no shame, no gaslighting

  • Helps you unlearn perfectionism and masking

  • Offers optional integration of somatic techniques, microdosing, or ketamine-assisted therapy

  • Understands that neurodivergent burnout is real, and rest is not optional

You don’t need to “get better at therapy.” Therapy needs to get better at meeting you.

Common Pain Points I Help With:

  • “I feel like my brain betrays me.”

  • “I know what I should be doing but I can’t make myself do it.”

  • “Everything feels urgent and overwhelming—or totally numb.”

  • “I’m constantly behind, and exhausted from pretending I’m not.”

  • “I’ve lost touch with who I am underneath the burnout.”

Sound familiar?

Let’s work together to unravel these patterns gently, at your pace, without pressure. I offer online ADHD therapy across California, with an approach that is creative, intuitive, and radically nonjudgmental.

Work With a Therapist Who Gets It

I’ve worked with clients navigating ADHD, AuDHD, and other forms of neurodivergence—especially those who are:

  • Burned out high performers wondering if their capacity is gone for good

  • Creative minds blocked by executive dysfunction

  • Highly sensitive souls who shut down under pressure or overextend to stay “normal”

  • Queer and neurodivergent clients who need an affirming space to unmask

Whether you're officially diagnosed, self-diagnosed, or just wondering—this space is for you.You Deserve Support That Works With Your Brain, Not Against It. You’ve held it together for a long time. You don’t have to do it alone anymore.

Therapy for Depression and Anxiety

You may look fine on the outside—but inside, you feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or numb.

Maybe you’re keeping up appearances, going through the motions, handling what needs to be done. But deep down, something feels off. You feel stuck. Weighed down. Disconnected from joy, clarity, or meaning.

You might be wondering:

  • Why can’t I feel happy, even when things are going well?

  • Why do I feel so far from myself, from others, from life?

  • Is this all there is?

You want to feel more balanced. More alive. More like yourself. Therapy can help you get there.

A Compassionate, Whole-Person Approach to Depression Therapy & Anxiety Therapy

This is not about fixing what’s wrong with you.
It’s about gently exploring what’s been silenced, blocked, or buried—and beginning to reconnect.

In our work together, we’ll look at what’s getting in the way of presence and peace. That might include:

  • Processing unresolved grief or trauma

  • Learning how to work with your emotions instead of against them

  • Building skills for emotional regulation and boundaries

  • Reconnecting to your intuitive voice, your creative self, and your inner guidance

  • Tuning into moments of nourishment and calm, even in everyday life

There’s nothing you need to perform here. You get to show up as you are. You get to slow down. You get to remember what wholeness feels like.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for Depression, Treatment-Resistant Depression, & Anxiety

For some clients, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) can be a powerful part of the healing process. If you're struggling with depression or treatment-resistant depression, we can explore whether this approach is right for you.

I can refer you to a prescribing psychiatrist for medical evaluation. If deemed appropriate, I offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Integration Therapy as part of your treatment plan.

Together, we’ll prepare for your sessions, create a safe and supportive space during your ketamine experiences, and process the insights that emerge—so the healing goes beyond the medicine.

Ketamine is not a cure. But it can open new pathways—especially when held in a therapeutic container that supports real, embodied integration.

Trauma Therapy in California

When everything feels like too much—and nothing makes sense—healing can feel far away. But you don’t have to go through this alone.

You may be angry. Numb. Disconnected.
You might feel stuck in survival mode, exhausted from carrying the weight of something life-altering. Maybe you’ve experienced trauma related to chronic illness, ADHD, or other neurodivergence—struggles that can deeply impact your sense of safety and self. It’s hard to explain it to others—maybe no one seems to get what you’ve been through.

Even talking about it can feel overwhelming. And that’s okay.

I offer trauma therapy that honors your pace, your story, and your body’s wisdom. This isn’t about forcing a breakthrough or digging up everything at once. It’s about finding safe ground together—then moving forward from there.

A Gentle, Integrative Approach to Healing Trauma

There’s no single way to heal.
But there are practices that can help ease the pain, rebuild trust, and restore a sense of wholeness.

In our work together, we might explore:

  • Talk therapy, when you’re ready to share

  • Art therapy, for when words aren’t enough

  • Somatic awareness, to reconnect with your body in safe, steady ways

  • Self-trust and intuitive reconnection, so you can stop second-guessing and start listening inward

This is not about erasing the past—it’s about loosening its grip, so you can make space for the future you want to live into.

Trauma Healing Looks Like:

  • Learning how to feel safe again—in your body, in relationships, in daily life

  • Letting go of constant rumination, regret, or “should-have” spirals

  • Gaining skills that calm your nervous system and reduce anxiety

  • Restoring your relationship with yourself—with kindness, curiosity, and compassion

  • Beginning to imagine a future that feels possible, grounded, and free

You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You don’t have to tell the whole story.
You just have to begin—at your own pace, with someone who’s here to walk alongside you.

I offer trauma therapy online throughout California and in person in Oakland. If you're ready to take the first step toward healing, reach out to schedule a free consultation.

Therapy for Chronic Illness

Life with Chronic Illness Changes Everything

There’s life before—
before the diagnosis, before the flare, before your body changed.
And then there’s life now.

When every decision takes energy.
When leaving the house means calculating the cost.
When “getting better” is no longer a simple checklist to follow.

It's More Than Just Physical

Chronic illness doesn’t just affect your body—it reshapes your mind, heart, and identity.
The grief, isolation, fear, and frustration are real.
It can feel like no one around you truly gets it.

You might miss the version of you who could push through, show up, keep going.

That part of you might still be trying—
thinking:
“If I do everything right, I’ll get my life back.”
“If I stay strong enough, I can beat this.”
“If I just manage it better, I’ll feel safe.”

But what if that mindset isn’t helping you heal?
What if it’s quietly draining your energy and dimming your spirit?

You Don’t Need to Earn Rest or Worthiness

The pressure to perform wellness is exhausting.
You’re allowed to rest. You’re allowed to be cared for.
You don’t need to be perfect to deserve peace, or present enough to be loved.

Let’s release the hustle.
Let’s find the part of you that already knows how to listen, feel, and soften.

Change How You Relate to Illness

While I can’t change your diagnosis, I can help you shift how it lives in you.
Together, we’ll explore ways to feel more empowered in your body, more at ease in your mind, and more whole in your day-to-day life.

You can build a new relationship with your body—one rooted in compassion, not control.

Ketamine Therapy May Support the Healing Process

Depending on your diagnosis and symptoms, Ketamine-Assisted Therapy may be an option.
When medically appropriate and prescribed, Ketamine can support treatment for chronic pain, depression, trauma, and the emotional distress that often accompanies long-term illness.

If this approach aligns with your care plan, I offer Ketamine Integration Therapy to help you process and ground the insights from your experience and work with the feelings of depression and anxiety that may come along with your illness.

Therapy That Honors Your Lived Experience

As a therapist who deeply understands the emotional toll of chronic illness, I offer trauma-informed, nervous-system-aware therapy that makes space for all of you—your pain, your power, your story.

We’ll go at your pace.
You don’t have to explain everything- especially if you have POTS, ME/CFS, Long Covid, fibromyalgia, or autoimmune conditions.
You just have to show up exactly as you are.

Therapy for Creative Blocks and Burnout

You feel stuck. The work isn’t flowing—or maybe it doesn’t even feel like you.
You’re not sure where the disconnect is, but something in your creative process feels off. Whether you're making art that doesn't feel aligned or avoiding your practice altogether, the spark you once had feels distant.

This kind of block is more than just a dry spell.
Creative burnout is often tangled with anxiety, perfectionism, and fear of failure. The vulnerability of sharing something deeply personal—only to face rejection, critique, or silence—can shut down your creative voice before it even has a chance to speak.

Understanding the Root of Creative Blocks

As a creative and therapist who supports artists, makers, writers, and other creative professionals, I understand how easily the mind can spiral: What if it’s not good enough? What if I never feel inspired again? These thought loops are often tied to early experiences of shame, pressure, or trauma—especially for neurodivergent folks like those with ADHD, who may struggle with executive function or rejection sensitivity.

Together, we’ll gently explore what’s holding you back. You don’t have to force inspiration. Instead, we’ll work on regulating your nervous system, quieting inner criticism, and reconnecting with the part of you that creates from curiosity—not pressure.

Reclaiming Your Creative Flow

Creativity is a form of freedom. It’s not just about producing—it’s about expression, meaning-making, and accessing a part of yourself that lives beyond the to-do list.

In therapy, we can:

  • Unpack the anxiety or self-doubt that stalls your process

  • Explore identity, purpose, and creative self-worth

  • Reignite inspiration in ways that feel sustainable and alive

  • Cultivate practices that support creative flow without burnout

I’ll support you in moving through blocks and toward a way of creating that feels more intuitive, authentic, and alive.

“Just do your work.

And if the world needs your work, it will come and get you.

And if it doesn’t, do your work anyway.

You can have fantasies about having control over the world, but I know I can barely control my kitchen sink.

That is the grace I am given.

Because when one can control things, one is limited to one’s own vision.”

-Kiki Smith.”

EMDR.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a type of therapy that can help you heal from symptoms of traumatic stress and emotional pain resulting from challenging life experiences. Anyone who has noticed a bruise fade or a cut scab can acknowledge the body has a deep and sometimes mysterious capacity to heal itself from injury. However, we often forget the impressive healing power of our minds. EMDR is guided by a theory that recognizes the mind can heal itself as the body does. EMDR functions as a mental and somatic therapy. Sounds pretty unreal, huh? But the good news is that this type of therapy has been widely studied and, under the right circumstances, demonstrates remarkable efficacy.

Art Therapy.

Creativity helps us tap into one of the core experiences of being human, connecting us to our own visual language. When this work is done with a sense of respect and ritual, it encourages transformative experiences. Using the training acquired as graduate of an American Art Therapy Association-approved master’s program, I carefully choose materials and prepare a space physically and metaphorically. Afterward, we verbally process the art-making experience. The depth of information that can be revealed during the processing allows us to make surprising discoveries!

Online Counseling

Interested in working together but having trouble with transportation or scheduling? Stuck at home due to COVID regulations? We can meet online through a secure platform for video sessions or by phone. You can see me from the comfort of your room or anywhere private. Telehealth is perfect for people with packed schedules who don’t have time to make it to and from my office, anyone who struggles with mobility, or anyone who just prefers to be at home. Via telehealth I can work with anyone in the state of California.

Our online therapy sessions are just like in-person sessions. We will meet for 50 minutes and explore your goals and needs. If you’re interested, we can engage in art therapy with materials you have at home.

Feeling Unsure? Here are some benefits of meeting online:

  • Effectiveness- studies show it’s as effective as meeting in person for a variety of issues

  • Depth- some people find it easier to speak about challenging topics online than it is in person which makes our work together more rich

  • Ease- we can meet anywhere private with a wifi connection without worrying about travel, parking, childcare, weather, or mobility

Breathwork

Breathwork is a form of active meditation that creates time to disconnect from the thoughts, tune into the body, move energy, and hold space for emotion practiced with the intention of creating healing and transformational experiences. It can invite intense somatic and emotional experiences such as feeling like you’ve processed trauma or released ‘stuck’ emotions. Practicing breathwork may also inspire a sense of heightened intuition and awareness of the present as well as feelings of clarity and calm.
